Heritage Committee
of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge

The responsibility of the Heritage Committee is to present the historical significance of our Church building, its grounds, the congregation's past and collected artifacts to the present church membership, local county and state officials and historians maintaining a presence and interest for study to all concerned.

The committee maintains the Heritage Room located in the balcony above the narthex. Historic items are presently being catalogued and will be displayed during late summer 2009. Other items are on display in the Reading Room.

The committee annually celebrates Heritage Sundy during the month of May with an appropriate presentation to the congregation.

The committee led the effort in placing the church and cemetery on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places on January 25, 2008 and on the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 2008.
